On March 27th-28th,International Forum on Digital Silk Road & Industries-Education Integration which was sponsored by school planning, construction and development center of the ministry of education of China and the Academy of Engineering and Technology of the Developing World(AETDEW),organized by Sugon Ruiyi education group was held in Lenovo industrial park,BeiJing.Government and university representatives of “the Belt and Road” countries,leaders of school planning, construction and development center of the ministry of education of China and more than 50 universities of China,managers of Lenovo group and Dawning Information Industry Co., Ltd. attended the conference.Under the current development background of digital intelligent industry and the Belt and Road Initiative, focus on the upgrading of the mode of deep integration of industry and education and the construction of “the Belt and Road” education community,explore innovative development path so that to give full play to the platform potential of Data@China Hundred Universities Project (DCHUP).
The establishment of an international industry-education integration platform has attracted attention from all sides
Data@China Hundred Universities Project (DCHUP)，was promoting by school planning, construction and development center of the ministry of education of China since 2016, implementing by Sugon Ruiyi education group, to select one hundred application-oriented universities, construct integration bases of industry and education with the function of personnel training and scientific research application service, and connect these bases to form collaborative innovation network, and then based on the one hundred universities’ interconnection of the integration platform of industry and education, implement the strategy of “platform +” ,provide a strong driving force for the innovation and development of colleges and universities in talent training,specialty construction and application services and so on in the fields of big data and artificial intelligence.In this conference, the initiative of build an international platform for the integration of industry and education by Digital silk road“Hundred Universities Project” attracted high attention from government and universities of “the Belt and Road” countries and Chinese international science-and-technology enterprises .
Ms. Shuli Sánchez,the Third Secretary (in charge of educative cooperation)，Embassy of the Republic of Ecuador in China expressed in the speech that the international cooperation and training of new technical talents will have a profound impact on the economic and cultural development of “the Belt and Road” countries.
Mr.Wu Zongyou,Vice President of Dawning Information Industry Co., Ltd.(Sugon) expressed that Sugon will continue to participate in “the Belt and Road” education cooperation on the basis of promoting the DCHUP in cooperation with the school planning, construction and development center of the ministry of education of China.
As a global leader in intelligent terminal equipment, data center, cloud and solutions, Lenovo group occupies the first place in the field of intelligent terminal equipment for Asia region of “the Belt and Road” countries.Ms.Janet Tang,Vice President of Lenovo Group, said that Lenovo will deepen cooperate with the DCHUP to promote the rapid implementation of Digital silk road“Hundred Universities Project”.
To build an international education community by Digital silk road“Hundred Universities Project”
Build an international industry-education integration platform for “the Belt and Road” is an important development of the school planning, construction and development center of the ministry of education of China in the construction stage of “big platform +”.Mr.Chen Feng,Director of the school planning, construction and development center of the ministry of education of China, said in the keynote speech that colleges and universities must build on the existing basis, deepen the development and accelerate the growth of industry-education integration, and move forward toward the established goal of creating a new innovation ecosystem.
The Academy of Engineering and Technology of the Developing World,which are supported by UNESCO, the United Nations south-south cooperation organization and other international organizations, is partner of DCHUP and together sponsor the Digital silk road“Hundred Universities Project” with DCHUP,Dato Lee Yee Cheong,president of AETDEW elaborated the development target and work ethic of this project in the conference,the implementation plan and path of the project were introduced in detail by Mr.Xie Ou,General manager of Sugon Ruiyi education group.
The aims of this project are select 100 colleges or universities in “the Belt and Road” countries and connect with 100 colleges or universities of DCHUP,establish training hub of China of “double hundred universities cooperation program”,and form a global training network with training hubs in “the Belt and Road” countries,serve the cultivation of digital intelligent technology talents which are urgently needed by “the Belt and Road” construction by “the Belt and Road” countries as well as Chinese enterprises.The project will promote “the Belt and Road” economic and cultural exchanges,and support AETDEW to realize the mission of improving the quality of life and the level of economic development of people in developing countries through science and technology,to achieve the goals of the United Nations 2030 sustainable development plan for south-south cooperation.
To promote the in-depth development of DCHUP by the two strategies
After nearly three years of construction,colleges and universities interconnect distributed computing platform was built by DCHUP which is the only one in China,it is able to efficiently integrate research application resources of cross-regional universities, at the same time,DCHUP is constantly improving the platform-based collaborative innovation mechanism, promoting depth industry-education integration in application-oriented talent training and industry application services of big data, artificial intelligence.
With the accumulation of long-term teaching experience, DCHUP published “the introduction to big data”, “data mining and machine learning”and other core textbooks in the form of university-enterprise joint development.
Relying on the platform of 100 universities interconnection,DCHUP opens a broad space for “big platform +” innovation.Taking the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone as an example, through access platform, university-enterprise cooperation, relevant application research of DCHUP colleges and universities such as Zhejiang University of Science&Technology and Beibu Gulf University in the field of fishery big data, new application innovation synergies can be integrated to provide strong application service support for regional development.
In order to make the industry-education integration platform built by the project step forward to an international platform,DCHUP mainly relies on two most important motivations.One is the construction of “the belt and road” engineering education system,the other one is the implementation of “big platform +” strategy.Through the construction of the international engineering education system,try the best to ensure the benchmark quality of the project construction, and the implementation of the “big platform +” strategy in the DCHUP 2.0 construction has become the main content of the integration of industry and education in the innovation and upgrading of the participating universities.
Try to locate something by following up a clue or work behind closed doors are infeasible to build an international engineering education system that can serve “the belt and road” strategy,there must be full dialogue and mutual learning between the educational circles of China and other countries.In-depth discussions about how does international engineering education certification take root in Chinese universities and the implementation path in “the belt and road” education cooperation were carried out in dialogue,which was presided over by Mr.Chuah Hean Teik,Former President of the federation of asia-pacific engineering societies,president of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman(UTAR) and Mr.Zhong Yixin,Former President of the Chinese society for artificial intelligence、academician of AETDEW、Former deputy director of the national engineering education certification expert committee of the ministry of education of China,attended by many universities of China.
In terms of the implementation of the “big platform +” strategy, Guangdong Baiyun University, ChiZhou University, YanCheng Teachers University and other more than a dozen colleges and universities exchanged the innovation of industry-education integration mode under the “big platform +” mode, and the achievements of industry application innovation relying on the platform of DCHUP in this conference.
Zaozhuang University put forward the cluster strategy of build application-oriented specialty and establish a new mechanism of university-enterprise collaborative education in the whole process.Guangdong Baiyun University aims to build a new industrial college by adopting the university-enterprise cooperation mode of “double-subject” education.ChiZhou University is closely integrated with industrial development in the region to establish the integration of industry and education with distinct regional characteristics.Nanning Normal University is focuses on the industry-university-research deep integration mode, YanCheng Teachers University boldly explores a road of the integration of industry and education of newly-built universities, Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology establishes “five-in-one” big data of ecological system included talent training, resource development, scientific research support, industry application and social services, etc., all of these are innovation Initiatives of deep integration mode of industry and education.
Supported by the resources and talents of the platform of 100 universities interconnection, many colleges and universities have carried out effectively industrial application innovation.Yulin Normal University builds a tourism big data application platform based on regional development strategy.Chengdu Medical College has achieved good results in the application of big data for health care for the aged in regional social services, becoming an important think tank support in the region and a good example of the combination of government, industry, education, research and application.
With the gradual improvement of the resource collaborative sharing mechanism of the 100 universities interconnection platform, its advantages are gradually emerging in collaborative application innovation, innovation results reuse and other aspects.The education big data collaboration composed of 16 participating universities completed the launching and signing ceremony in this conference,the application of education big data system in the future will be broken down into scientific research dimension, environmental dimension, dimension of life,management dimension and teaching dimension,it will make full use of data resources advantages of participating universities,and be collaborated by these universities with supports of interconnection platform.
With the advance of “the belt and road” strategy, more and more Chinese enterprises go abroad, and the cultivation of international talents to meet the strategic needs of “the belt and road” countries has become an urgent pain point for “going out” Chinese enterprises and Chinese higher education.Through this conference,”the belt and road”countries will be connected, resources will be integrated, and the construction of an international platform for the integration of industry and education will be promoted, it indicates the direction for the future innovation path of in-depth integration of industry and education.
