On August 17, 2023, Dato’Lee Yee Cheong, accompanied by the delegation from AETDEW, was invited to visit the the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries（CPAFFC）. Mr. Zhu Dan, the director of the association, warmly welcomed the visit of Dato’Lee Yee Cheong，and the two sides held formal talks.
Director Zhu Dan expressed respect for Dato’Lee Yee Cheong efforts in promoting friendship between China and Malaysia, despite his advanced age.Director Zhu also expressed full support for the Belt and Road Virtual Museum Project advocated by Dato’Lee Yee Cheong, and extended an invitation for Dato’Lee Yee Cheong to participate in the museum forum and the Nishan Forum on World Civilizations, both scheduled to be held in Shandong at the end of September. Dato’Lee Yee Cheong gladly accepted the invitation and agreed to participate as a guest speaker at the forum.
